Early access — what to expect

  • No booking fee and no charge from Book My Points while we're in early access.
  • You'll arrange payment directly with the Owner once your booking is confirmed (e.g., Zelle, Venmo, or another method you both agree on). Book My Points is not collecting or holding funds yet.
  • Refunds for resort-side or owner-side issues are arranged between you and the Owner; the Platform may help mediate but does not hold money to refund.

Vacation-ownership resorts are a different product than a transient hotel. That's why the math works — and why the experience is different.

Built for a week, not a night.

Multi-bedroom villas with full kitchens, in-unit washer/dryer, separate living and dining areas, and private balconies. Typically 2–3× the square footage of a comparable hotel room — and priced per villa, not per person.

Amenities sized for residents.

Multi-pool campuses, beach clubs, kids' programs, owner lounges, on-site restaurants, fitness centers. Built to keep families occupied for a week, not to process arrivals and departures.

Most guests are owners and members on week-long stays, so the property feels residential rather than transient. No bachelor party turning over at 11 a.m. while a conference checks in.

Same operator, same check-in desk, same brand standards. You get a real reservation in your name on the resort's system — not a voucher, not a third-party desk, not an 'associated' property.

The full flow

From request to check-in.

    Browse and shortlist resorts.

    Filter by location, climate, beach vs. mountain vs. urban, room size, kitchen, kids' programs. Add as many resorts as you'd consider. Resorts are listed in randomized order — no pay-to-play featured slots.

  2. 02

    Configure your request.

    Dates (preferred + acceptable window), room type, view preference, guests, max budget, and refund policy. No card hold and no charge during early access — payment is arranged directly with the owner once the booking is verified.

  3. 03

    The lottery runs.

    Eligible owners are progressively given access in karma-weighted random order. The first to acknowledge gets an exclusive window — typically about an hour — to draft a proposal.

  4. 04

    You see the proposal.

    Email magic-link gets you to your booking page and the chat thread with the owner. You can confirm, decline (with a reason), or ask questions.

  5. 05

    You confirm.

    The owner books on Marriott. They share the confirmation number with us. We call the resort to verify. Once verified, you and the owner arrange direct payment for the actual hotel cost — no platform booking fee during early access.

  6. 06

    You stay.

    The reservation is in your name. You check in like any other guest. After check-out, a 14-day dispute window runs — flag any issues during that period for admin review.

Why is this cheaper than booking direct?

Because you're paying against the owner's points cost (which they've already paid for via maintenance fees), not the resort's published cash rate. The economics are owner-direct. During early access there is no platform booking fee at all.

Is this legal?

Yes. Owners are allowed to use their points to make reservations for others, and you're paying the owner — not the resort — for that service. During early access, payment is arranged directly between you and the owner; the platform handles matching and verification only.

What if my owner flakes?

If an owner fails to book a confirmed request within the required time, your booking goes back into the queue for another owner to pick up. No money has changed hands at that point. If an owner cancels your reservation after booking is confirmed, contact us and they'll be blocked from the platform.

Do I have to share PII with the owner?

Only what the resort needs to put your name on the reservation, and only after you confirm the proposal. Not before.

Can I book back-to-back stays / multi-resort trips?

Yes — submit each leg as its own request. Up to 3 active requests at a time per guest.

Does Book My Points work with travel agents or corporate accounts?

No. The platform is built for individual travelers.
